The completed boat could hold 800 people and was at that time the largest boat on Lake Minnetonka. It was purchased in 1904 by Frank Heywood owner of the Minnetonka Casino in Excelsior. Extensive remodeling was made most importantly the pilot house was moved forward. That same year it was rechristened the "Excelsior" and was the center piece of the new Wayzata and Excelsior Steamship Line. This steamship line was formed as competition to the Lake Minnetonka Transportation Company and was reorganized as the White Line Tranportation Company it 1906. This reorganization also inclued rechristening her as the "White Flyer". This name was accepted by the public and reverted to the "Excelsior". The boat was again extensively renovated in preparation for the competition of the boats of the Twin City Rapid Transit Company launched in 1906. After the 1906 season in November of that year the Twin City Rapid Transit Company bought the "Excelsior" The boat was decommissioned in 1908.
