Description:
The Bartlett House, Mound, MN on Cook's Bay, Upper Lake Minnetonka. The hotel was located at Bartlett Blvd & Commerce St.This location was called "Busy corner" or "Pearson corner" because this was the original business district due to the steamboat traffic. ("Lake Minnetonka 1850—2000") . This was the third hotel in Mound and opened 1883 by Ed D. Bartlett. It had accommodations for 30 guests and the dining room could seat 50 at a time. Since the turn of the century Bartlett House has been known as Hotel Kern, Hern House and Hotel Martin. ("Lake Minnetonka's Historic Hotels")
