Two older men with a sailboat and a young boy standing on the dock. "Grand Pa Chase of St. Louis in boat. My father, S.H. Dyer holding boat which he built also built english cutter type boat. The boat on right was the 'Volantie (sic)' owned by H.J. Burton; E.W. Dyer Excelsior Minn" stamped on the back. Correct spelling "Volante"
