Description:
Lake Park Amusement Hall tower in foreground at the Tonka Bay (Lake Park) Hotel. The pavilion was originally called the Lake Park Amusement Hall and included a theater and ballroom. In 1883 an ad ran for the "Grand Opening of the Roller Skating Rink". By 1904 the pavilion was renamed the Tonka Bay Casino. It didn't serve food only soda fountain items,candy, cigars, popcorn etc." It also had billiards and boat rental and roller skating with Tony Caferelli's band. In Jan. 1920 it was moved across the lake to a site near where the amusement park would be built. ("Lake Minnetonka's Historic Hotels")
